20th April

Perhaps prep work / confidence booster in rig mechanics for me on this one. After the battering of the weather at the start of the 2nd week of April my plans changed to France for 5 days work near Limoges from the 11th April. Temperatures on the rise in the UK saw me hoping for a nice t shirt and shorts day out with Dad in Norfolk but alas. A bitterly NE wind whipped down the East coast and I endured 10 hours or so of 50km/h winds. However, wanting to make the most of it and with persistant tight baiting I somehow ended the day with around 20 tench all around the 3 - 4lb mark. On light gear this was great fun. These tench will only get bigger and a lake pb of 5.03 came out the following day to the owner. One to watch for the future hopefully.
