The 2022 Hunts Corner fish-in took place between the 25th and27th of July, organised by Steve Innes and attended by six members: John Even, David Jones, David Mortimer-Jones, Kevin Smith,  Andrew Sugden and Justin Watson.

Linear Hunts Corner is anattractive 10 acre lake with just 10 swims. In keeping with the ethic “we do not like fishing shoulder to shoulder!” just 6 rods had exclusive use. The venue has produced tench over 10lb this season and is also home to some big bream. Of course there is a good stock of big carp too. So a real mixed fishery that is ideal for a fun trip when most keen tenchmen have ended their specimen hunting season.

The venue has previously fished well to both float and ledger methods and again produced a mixed bag of tench and carp. Each swim offers around an acre of water and you are not fishing opposite other anglers. A secluded venue and well worth a visit.

This was the second event of the year at Linear, following on from Manor Farm in May 2022 that produced tench to 9lb4oz. The Oxford Region also enjoyed some good results on Oxlease in June too. Oxlease remains a day ticket venue but Hunts Corner is bookings only. You will need to download the Catch App to book. Details on Linear FaceBook and website. Anumber of tench of between 4-6lb were caught plus four carp including at least one fish over 20lb. Justin Watson had four tench plus several carp. David Mortimer Jones also had a good session with tench
