Northern & East Midlands Fish-in

Date – Friday 26th May to Sunday 28th May (this is the BH weekend)
Price – £30 per person for the 2 nights
Venue – Main lake at Hibaldstow (between Hibaldstow and Kirton Lindsey) / what 3 words location pacemaker.vanilla.perfected
Places – unlimited but if we get over 20 anglers we can have exclusive use of the whole lake for the weekend.
BBQ – Planned for saturday evening weather permitting
Facilities/ things to be aware of – there are a number of portaloos dotted around the lake, and there is a cafe on site so we could meet for a breakfast on the Friday morning if there is interest, please let me know when booking. Please note some of the swims are a little uneven as this is an ex-working quarry and while work is ongoing to improve the swims and level them out, some are still not great. Might be an issue if you are not steady on your feet. NOTE – I fished it in January for a day and the swims have been vastly improved over winter.
Parking – You can park behind or very close to most swims.
Stocks – The tench are prolific and TF members have had some big bags (100+) of Tench. They probably average around 3-5lb in my experience but I am aware of a 9.7 caught last season by a carp angler. There is also a good head of large Rudd to over 2lb present. Feeder tactics seem the best but some swims lend themselves to float fishing also. Bring plenty of bait as they respond to heavy spodding.
